April Meeting Reminder
Aloha,
This is a reminder that our April meeting will be on Sunday April
25, 2004 due to many of us attending NAB. See everyone on the
25th to talk about all the great new things from NAB.
We meet once a month. Come and learn about the independent
projects going on in Hawaii, talk about your project, ask for
advice, get assistance, find crew, or help someone else. Bring
footage from your projects to share; complete shows, raw unedited
footage, or even projects you did just to learn more. If you have
a screenplay, come down, pitch it, and start building a crew to
get your movie made. If you are interested in doing
documentaries, come down and tell us all about it and find a crew
to get it done. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing
you there.

Film the best of the San Francisco Bay Area... SAN MATEO COUNTY!
*******************************************************
Hello from beautiful Humboldt County,
As those of you who have worked here know, we are fortunate to
have Barbara Bryant, formerly of the Hong Kong film office, as
our film commissioner. She does an amazing job smoothing out a
multitude of wrinkles and sending information to all who inquire.
Our County Board of Supervisors, in a very short sighted
decision, have put the funding (a meager $28,000) on the block
for budget cuts. The final vote on this issue is April 20th.
Those of us who have worked hard to make this a film friendly
location are urging anyone who has worked here to e-mail the Sups
and support the film commission. In this very rural county, we
need an official structure to keep the wheels turning smoothly.
Please drop an e-mail note urging your support to the following:

Roger Rodoni : rrodoni@co.humboldt.ca.us
