Seeking Crew: Travel-Light Films (Robert Bidleman) is looking for an audio person for a one hour short. The production, KATYDID, is to be filmed in Sonoma/Mendocino/Marin Counties and is a low budget (deferred payment) independent piece scheduled to be shot in late September. Interested persons should have a working knowledge of XL1 to XLR capabilities and be able to monitor and direct sound crew personel in a professional manner. Multi-tasking is a big plus as well as own equipment (not essential). It's vital that you be able to set up and acquire quality audio with a minimum anount of support. CHRISTINA, (18-25 but look 17-18) is a good-looking, brunette (think Goth) who isn’t too concerned with her appearance. She is cynical, hostile, and carries the weight of Stacey’s past. She is anti-social and leery of everyone
ANGELA, (18-25 but look 17-18 ) (Stacey’s best friend) is very protective of Stacey and is very confident and outspoken.
GROCERY STORE CLERK (25-40) male.
BURGLARY KID (10-15), is thought to be holding a weapon and is shot.

CALLING ALL FILMMAKERS!
Get ready for the National Film Challenge! From the folks that brought you the 48 Hour Film Project, comes a competition in which teams across the country will make short films--write, shoot, edit and score them--from scratch, in one wild weekend. And we want you! On Friday, October 1st, you receive a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. On Monday, October 4th, you send the completed film to us.
Sound exciting? Great! There are two ways you can be involved:
1. FORM A TEAM. Rustle up enough folks to make a movie, download the application from our webpage (http://www.filmchallenge.com ), fill it in, pay the fee, and then be ready to go on Friday, October 1st.
